Thank you for the good thoughts and the prayers. I'd love to get back to scrapping and I'm trying to work on a couple swaps I'm in but even sitting at the computer wears me out after a few minutes. I need to get my strength back but it's slow in coming. Soon I hope! I miss a normal routine very much. I truly appreciate your comments and support.

Sorry I've Been Missing!
As some of you know, I've been sick for the last month. I spent five days in the hospital for a lung infection, which has turned into something more than just an infection. I have a lung disease that makes me suseptible to future infections and will need to manage the disease carefully. It's taken time and patience to recover from this round and I'm still very tired and exhausted all the time but I am infection free now! I am thankful for all those who prayed for me and cannot tell you how much your support means to mean. I received many cards and love each and every one of them! Thank you all for caring!
One day very soon I hope to get back to scrapping! I miss it so much!

The Gypsy
As I posted before, I ordered the new Gypsy for the Cricut last night on HSN. I can't wait for it to arrive and since I spent an extra $8.00 for faster shipping, it should be here by next Tuesday! I can't wait! I sent two e-mails to my sister-in-law about it but she didn't answer so I got nervous and called her at work. She hadn't opened her e-mail and didn't know about the Gypsy being available on HSN. Naturally, she promptly ordered it so it will arrive before she leaves with my brother to come visit on Sept. 30. We're going to learn how to use it together. Good thing I called because it sold out shortly after she ordered it!
Interestingly, I've been collecting these little tickets that come in some of the cartridges called "Cricut Rewards" but had no idea what I was supposed to do with them. I found out last night while watching HSN so I went to CricutRewards.com and signed up plus I enrolled and turned in my tickets for credits. When I get the Gypsy, I will have enough rewards to get the Accent Essentals cartridge, which was available only with the purchase of the first Cricut Expression machines. Since I didn't buy my Expression right away (I already had the original Cricut), I missed out on that cartridge but have wanted to get it cause it's really cool!. The only place it's available is on eBay (and it's not easy to get) or now I've discovered as part of the rewards program with Cricut. I'm super excited because I'm getting one more cartridge as a result of buying the Gypsy so that just made the value for the Gypsy even better for me! I'm pretty sure I have additional Cricut Rewards somewhere so I'm going to be looking for them for future freebies!
Spending money can be soooo much fun! LOL!

Shopping!
I keep telling myself and everyone else that I'm not going to continue to buy new things to scrap with and then something new catches my eye and I've purchased it. Tonight, I purchased the new Gypsy for the Cricut. I love the idea of being able to create layouts, titles, and embellishments while away from home with this little handheld device. It's pricey for sure but the HSN bundle comes with an extra cartridge, carrying case, and car charger so I figure I might as well buy it now rather than paying the same price at the store and getting less for my money. Besides, it's not much more than those expensive video games that are all the rage and what do you create with those???
I already have the Design Studio software on my computer at home and since I actually use it and create titles and embellishments with it, I think I'll get a lot of use out of the Gypsy! I read a lot while riding in the car...now I'll be able to create instead. How FUN!!!

Wow! I Finally Have A Blog!
I actually never thought I'd ever have a blog so this is a sudden surprise to me. I love visiting and reading other people's blogs but just never really thought I'd do this myself. Well, this is definitely a case of "never say never" because here I am.
I love to scrapbook and make cards so I'm hoping to meet new friends and share ideas. I am also a grandmother to Noah who is 8 1/2 and Emma who is 6 and love being a Grandma more than anything.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you'll check back and give me a chance to get to know you!
